The Tudor Pro Cycling Team sprinter won strongly ahead of Laurence Pithie and Dylan Groenewegen, during the second mass sprint of this Paris-Nice.

After Olav Koi on the first stage, the Paris-Nice 2024 edition remains owned by the Netherlands. Tudor Pro Cycling Team sprinter Arvid de Kleijn won the second stage of the Race to the Sun, on Monday 4 March, between Thoiry and Montargis (179 km). In front of him are the New Zealander from Groupam-FDJ Laurence Pithie, who leads the general classification, and compatriot Dylan Groenewegen (Jayco-AlUla). Olav Kooij, the holder of the yellow jersey after the victory on Sunday, could not participate in the final race and finished in 17th place.

The riders experienced a very calm phase, interrupted only by attacks from Mathieu Burgaudeau (TotalEnergies) and Jonas Rutsch (EF-Education Easypost) to look for a few climbing points scattered along the route. On Tuesday, the riders will compete in the team time trial, designed around Auxerre, where the first gaps for the general classification could be created.
