The Mugler woman is more charismatic than ever. Glamorous black dresses, nude red ensembles, elegant tassels… The house’s evening looks are an ode to sensuality, affirming all the creative power of artistic director Casey Cadwallader.
The amazing aura of Mugler
The first silhouette sets the tone: a corset dress worn with an undergarment construction, where transparency reveals the body in a subtle and sexy way. These clothes could embody the entire DNA of Mugler’s new Fall-Winter 2024-2025 collection, presented on Sunday evening, March 3, in Paris.
The house has designed micro bras, with a satin plunging edge or decorated with silver eyelets. The chest is lightly clothed and is even delicately revealed through games of transparency. As with Saint Laurent, fine sheer chiffon contrasts the material and leather. The naked body thus becomes an expression of freedom and directly participates in the aesthetics of clothing, male and female.
Several cutting variations are presented. The neckline of the blazer stands out with rounded lines, while the velvet dress with square shoulders is cut at chest level.
Many dresses are offered decorated with a single strap and a high slit, bringing a feminine asymmetry to the look.
Sequined tassels added volume to a short red coat and semi-sheer black dresses, while leather pieces and exaggerated belt details gave the collection a matrix-punk edge.
Several prints, with apples and faces, enhanced the essentially black outfits of the collection, which still contained hints of red, a navy jacket and a yellow evening dress.
